Now, let’s jump in. Here are more than 35 practical gifts for RV owners they didn’t know they needed.

Unique RV Gifts

These fun gift ideas go beyond the ordinary, offering a touch of originality and practicality to enhance the RVing experience.

1. Inflatable Solar Lights

The Luci Light is an inflatable, rechargeable light available in a traditional white hue, but I prefer the multi-color version.

solar light with color rotaion

These are fun gifts for RV owners since they allow you to create the perfect ambiance depending on which color setting you choose.

Can’t choose? Set the light to rotate through the color selections! The Luci Light is a great alternative or addition to string lights at a campsite.

These lights are also solar-powered and waterproof – ideal for boondocking and great by the pool or lake.

2. Outdoor Blanket

There’s no better RV camping gift than a cozy blanket to snuggle up with by the fire.

I love the Rumpl blankets. These blankets feature the warmth provided by a sleeping bag but in the style of a blanket.

One of my favorite features is the small clip along the edge so that you can wear your blanket like a cape! No need to worry about it falling off your shoulders.

These blankets have all the same synthetic down fabric used to create a first-rate sleeping bag, so there’s no compromise on quality.

Available in 1-person, 2-person, and travel sizes – they pack away into a small stuff sack like a sleeping bag, making them perfect for RV camping.

RVers basically live outside, which is why I genuinely love these outdoor blankets as gifts for RV owners!

The Rumpl blanket would also make a great gift for campervan owners since it can easily double as a comforter or extra bedding for massive space savings!

3. WiFi-Enabled Borescope

Every RV owner needs a borescope in their toolset. It’s one of those helpful tools you are very glad to have when you need it.

The borescope is wifi-enabled and allows you to get a look inside any small hard-to-reach area or holding tank you can’t physically see in your RV.

4. Telescoping Stool

A retractable, telescoping stool provides a versatile and compact seating solution for RVers and makes the perfect unexpected gift!

5. Scrubba Wash Bag

This portable and lightweight washing solution is perfect for doing small loads of laundry when RVers are miles from a local laundromat.

Enhance the RVing experience with the gift of 18-foot solar string lights, boasting 20 LEDs to create a warm and inviting ambiance.

Outdoor Gear RV Gifts

Here are a few awesome gift ideas that make a camper’s outdoor living space a bit more cozy and allow RV owners to really enjoy their campsite.

9. Portable Fire Pit

A fire at a campsite is the ultimate camping vibe. But every site doesn’t have a fire pit.

RVers who have a portable fire pit have the desirable benefit of sitting around the fire no matter where they are!

woman sitting at campsite with solo stove fire pit

There are outdoor portable propane fire pits and wood-burning fire pits. Most notably, the wood-burning Solo Stove, known for having an almost smokeless fire, is very popular among RVers.

  • Perfect 'no mess' alternative to a wood-burning fire
  • Lightweight, compact, and portable
  • When there are fire restrictions, you can usually still use these at RV parks and campgrounds
02/18/2024 03:18 am GMT
NOTE: Fire pits are large items. I suggest ‘feeling out’ this gift option to ensure the giftee has enough room to store it in their RV. We have the Bonfire Solo Stove, but I often wish we had purchased the smaller Ranger since it’s just the two of us.

10. Ultra Lightweight Camping Chair

RVers can enjoy comfortable seating at the campsite and on all their adventures with this small and lightweight camping chair from Helinox.

Woman in small camping chair in front of the lake.

These extremely compact chairs are comfortable and easy to carry, making them an essential addition to your travel adventures.

I love these chairs for extra seating at the campsite, but my favorite thing is taking them on a bike ride down to the beach or remote lake shore after a paddleboard.

Because they collapse into a small bag, they’re perfect for biking, hiking, or paddle destinations!

Lightweight Collapsible Camping Chair
$109.95
  • Helinox Chair One
  • Compact and lightweight (14 inches when packed and 2lb 2oz)
  • 320-pound capacity

These chairs don’t look it, but they’ll hold up to 320 pounds (with an additional 10 inches of height, the Chair One XL is a better fit for tall RVers).

11. CLAM (Popup Gazebo)

The CLAM pop-up gazebo is the perfect gift for RV owners seeking a versatile outdoor retreat.

Unlike hard-sided coolers, the soft-sided version can easily store flat, saving space in the camper.

13. Outdoor Rug

There’s no better way to elevate an outdoor RV living space than with an outdoor rug.

Campers can add a touch of style to their campsite, and they’re perfect for keeping dirt and debris out of the RV.

The rug provides a designated clean and inviting surface for activities, cooking, or simply enjoying the view.

I personally like the styles available in the Glamp Mat above, not to mention it’s reversible!

14. Inflatable Kayak or Paddleboard

Boost the excitement of RV adventures by surprising your favorite camper with an inflatable kayak or paddleboard.

Paddleboard on a lake shore in the Colorado mountains.

These highly portable watercraft are the ticket to fully exploring nearby lakes and rivers during RV travels.

Their compactness makes storage a breeze in your RV when deflated, leaving ample room for other essentials.

Inflatable kayaks, in particular, provide an excellent two-person option and are less intimidating for beginners looking to dip their paddle into the world of water sports.

Either option can make an ideal gift for RV owners eager to maximize their camping trips and explore the wonders of lakes, rivers, and coastal destinations in style!

15. Outdoor Griddle or Grill

If you want to get a great gift for an RV owner, you can’t miss with outdoor cooking gear.

man cooking on weber grill at campsite

There’s something about cooking a meal outside in the fresh and open air that is the embodiment of RV living.

We have personally used the portable Weber propane grill and love its compact nature when stored, as well as the overall quality.

However, we couldn’t overlook the propane Blackstone griddle for this list due to its popularity in the RV community.

RV owners will get a quality outdoor cooking experience with either of these highly-rated portable cooking appliances!

NOTE: As with the fire pit, remember that these grills and griddles are large. If you are gifting this to a full-time RVer or an RVer with a small rig, determine whether they have the capacity and space to carry it.

Gifts for New RV Owners

Give new RV owners a touch of comfort and convenience with these perfect gift ideas for their future adventures.

16. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

A tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is one of our favorite gifts for new RV owners. Although it’s not essential for newbies to get on the road, it offers peace of mind when it comes to safety while towing an RV.

TireMinder tire pressure monitoring system in truck.

Tire air pressure is crucial for optimal performance when towing an RV or driving a motorhome.

A TPMS provides real-time monitoring of tire pressure and temperature, alerting the driver to any abnormalities that may lead to tire blowouts or other hazards.

This not only ensures safer travels but also helps new RV owners build confidence in managing their vehicles.

TireMinder Solar Powered Trailer TPMS, 4-Tire Kit
$173.91
  • Highly efficient monocrystalline solar panel with backup battery
  • LCD screen displays both pressure and temperature readings
  • Monitors 4 tires from 0 to 70 psi (universal fit)
  • Windshield mountable monitor, micro USB charging cable, and replaceable CR1632 batteries

02/18/2024 05:03 am GMT

NOTE: The TPMS above is ideal for monitoring tires on trailers under 25 feet. For monitoring a larger RV (or more than one vehicle) upgrade to the TireMinder i10. We use the above on a 29-foot trailer with a repeater to increase the signal.

17. Instant Pot

The Instant Pot is large but multi-functional. It can be used as a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, and more. You can steam, saute, and even make yogurt in this electric pot.

instant pot with vegetables sautéing

Instant Pots come in a variety of sizes and versions. Some even give you the option of dehydrating or air frying!

I have not personally used an Instant Pot in an RV, but it receives rave reviews in the RV community and deserves a place on this list.

Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 Electric Cooker
$99.95
  • Multi-functional electric cooker
  • Use for pressure cooking, slow cooking, steaming, sauteeing
  • Also features rice cooker and yogurt maker settings
  • 6-quart

Electronic & Gadget RV Gifts

Here are a few of our favorite gadgets that make great RV gifts. These electronics and gadgets offer power solutions and make life in a small space more manageable.

19. Portable Battery Pack

RV campers understand the importance of resources, especially power. Something I can’t live without on the open road is a beefy battery bank.

These are essential for when I don’t have access to a charging port or just need extra power at my disposal.

portable battery pack attached to iphone in the grass

Some battery packs are a bit lacking and will only charge your tablet or cell phone for half a charge. However, ones like the Anker will charge your phone, tablet, and then some.

This pack even has more than one port to charge multiple devices at the same time.

Anker PowerCore Portable Charger
$56.20
  • External battery pack with 3 USB ports (charge 3 devices at once)
  • 26,800mAh of power charges most phones over 6 times (tablets at least 2 times)
  • Dual input port that supports recharging twice as fast
02/18/2024 04:03 pm GMT

This functional electronic accessory is a useful, thoughtful gift to help RVers stay connected when power is scarce.

20. Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Enhance your outdoor experience with a portable Bluetooth speaker. RVers can play their favorite tunes and create the perfect ambiance for their RV campsite.

Hand holding a portable bluetooth speaker to show the small size of the item.

A portable Bluetooth speaker is a great gift for RVers due to its compact and travel-friendly design, wireless connectivity, durability, and long battery life.

This speaker packs a powerful musical punch, is space-efficient, and can withstand outdoor conditions.

Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker

  • IPX7 waterproof rating (up to three feet)
  • 12-hours of play time
  • Available in 14 colors

21. Bluetooth Headphones

When you live or travel in a small space, you can’t always find a place to enjoy music, a movie, or your favorite podcast.

Bluetooth headphones in charging case on ground.

Headphones allow RVers the opportunity to listen to entertainment or educational videos or podcasts without disturbing family members or others in the RV (and vice versa).

Bluetooth headphones offer the perfect solution, allowing you to move about the RV, walk outside, or do whatever else you need without the burden of cords.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus, True Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth 5.0
$169.99
  • Up to 11 hours of use on one charge
  • Wireless charging case included
02/18/2024 03:44 pm GMT

Ross has the set of Bluetooth headphones above and absolutely loves them. But I have an affordable option that gets the job done!

22. Headlamp

RVing goes hand-in-hand with the great outdoors, and that includes being outside at night.

Whether you’re making food around the campfire, sifting through storage in the back of the truck, or out for a nighttime walk – headlamps are helpful!

man working headlamp

The convenience of a handsfree light cannot be overlooked as an RVer! Especially when you’re fixing an unexpected issue on the road or while setting up camp after sunset.

Fenix Headlamp, 1600 Lumen Rechargeable
  • Rechargeable USB-C LED headlamp, 100 hours of runtime
  • Neutral white light with five brightness settings and auxiliary red light
  • IP68 waterproof and dustproof

I suggest a USB rechargeable headlamp with an output of at least 1000 lumens, and highly recommend the Fenix brand above for quality lighting products.

23. Thermal Infrared Camera

This device turns your smartphone into a thermal infrared camera that can capture images and video of temperate variances in your RV (or anywhere).

Here are a few ways we like to use this gadget:

  • Find exposed areas in the RV that require more insulation
  • Troubleshoot hot spots on batteries or cabling, as well as engines and tires
  • Locate potential leaks since wet spots read as a cooler temperature
Thermal Infrared Camera for Smart Phones
$190.99
  • Measure temperature variances, capture images and video
  • Features MSX technology that blends thermal and visible spectrum for more detailed images
  • Compatible with your iOS device
02/18/2024 02:53 pm GMT

RVers who prefer to DIY their maintenance will love this tool for diagnosing potential and current RV issues.

Kitchen Accessory RV Gifts

Living in a small kitchen makes you think twice about what kitchen tools you have. Here are a few durable and versatile gifts for RVers they’ll love in their tiny cooking space.

24. Nesting Pots

This is another item I received as a gift, and will never do RV life without!

The Magma nesting pots are a special gift for RV owners who value quality cookware and efficient use of limited kitchen space.

Nesting pot set of three pots shown both stacked and unstacked.

The removable handles save a significant amount of storage space in an RV kitchen, providing the necessities for cooking without compromising on quality.

Magma pots are compatible with gas, and induction, and are oven-safe up to 500 degrees.

These pot sets come in both stainless steel and non-stick variations, with 10-piece and 7-piece options available.

Magma nesting pots are a valuable addition to any RV kitchen, but small RV owners and van lifers will find the space-saving feature incredibly beneficial.

25. Bees Wax Wraps

Saving space in an RV fridge is usually a challenge. Unless there’s a residential fridge, storing food is always a bit tricky and requires some former Tetris training.

kitchen bowl and cheese wrapped in bees wax wraps

Bees wax wraps are a great option for RVs because they maximize space for storing items such as fruit, veggies, and cheeses without the need for single-use plastics.

Reusable Beeswax Food Wraps in 3 Sizes (S,M,L)
$18.70 $16.99
  • Made of certified organic cotton (plastic and silicone free)
  • Washes easily with soap and cold water
  • Made in Vermont, USA
02/19/2024 07:14 am GMT

Bees wax wraps are a great gift for the eco-friendly RV owner!

PRO TIP: You can also use these wraps to cover a bowl or tuber ware. Just don’t let them sit in the hot sun, or the wax will melt.

26. Stainless Steel Wine Tumblers

These stemless, shatterproof wine glasses are essential for RV living and make an excellent gift.

woman holding wine glass over desert camping area

As someone who usually prefers glass or plastic over metal drinkware – I love these glasses.

The Hausgard brand has a thin lip that is comfortable to drink from. They also don’t leave a weird metallic aftertaste like some other brands.

Stemless Metal Wine Glasses - Stainless Steel
  • Stainless steel tumblers, set of four
  • Unbreakable and shatterproof, 18 oz.
  • Great for camping, boating, and other outdoor activities

Why these glasses work for RVing:

  • Stainless steel wine tumblers are light and portable for easy use in the outdoors.
  • These unbreakable glasses are more eco-friendly than plastic or acrylic glasses.

A friend gifted us the above wine glass set from Hausgard that we use almost daily.

27. Microfiber Towel Set

These microfiber cleaning towels are the perfect gifts for campers who have everything.

E-cloths folded on countertop in RV.

They clean with just water, allowing RVers to save space and avoid toting around a ton of liquid cleaners and paper towels.

Don’t be fooled by the lesser-quality microfiber towels. The option below is much more durable and efficient than the cheaper brands.

E-Cloth Starter Pack (5-Piece Set)
$12.47
  • Microfiber cloths that are perfect for cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and more
  • Cleans with water only
  • 300 wash guarantee
  • 5-pack also includes a window polishing/cleaning cloth
02/18/2024 02:18 am GMT

The different colors in the set allow you to mentally assign specific colors to various cleaning areas – kitchen, bathroom, etc.

BONUS: I personally love that these allow us to minimize paper towel usage, providing a sustainable option for keeping your RV clean!

Camping Clothing Gifts

RV owners tend to like spending time outdoors. But the outdoor elements can take a toll on everyday clothing, and there’s limited space in an RV for a large wardrobe.

Here are a few quality essentials that RVers will love to wear and use!

28. Wide-Brim Hat

Wide-brim hats are a necessity for an RV outdoor lifestyle. Whether maintaining your rig or enjoying the outdoors, you will often be outside in the sun.

If you’re on the hunt for a splurge-worthy gift for your favorite outdoor lover, a quality wide-brim hat is a winner!

man wearing wide brim hat in the desert mountains

Ross loves the Tilley Airflo hat. Its UPF 50+ protection, water-repellant material, and excellent ventilation make this wide-brim hat the perfect companion in an outdoor setting.

On the trails or off, rain or shine – he loves this hat, and I’m sure other RV owners and outdoor enthusiasts will, too.

29. Sun Wrap

UPF 50+ sun wraps or cardigans are my favorite wardrobe essentials for RV life.

They protect you from the sun (meaning less sunscreen), they layer well, and you can easily dress them up or down.

woman dressed in outdoor clothes sitting in camping chair

We love the wraps from Coolibar that come in a couple of different styles and a ton of colors, making them a great addition to any RV wardrobe.

These particular wraps are made of the perfect blend of bamboo and cotton, making them both lightweight and durable.

This makes them the perfect thoughtful gift for your RVing lady!

30. Wool Socks

The perfect gift idea for the outdoorsy RV owner on your list – you can never have too many pairs of quality wool socks.

wool socks in grass

Whether you’re headed out on a summer hike or just enjoying small adventures – wool socks are the best for your feet!

Wool has anti-microbial properties that keep it from smelling, and its moisture-wicking properties keep feet dry. Wool socks also keep your feet warm at night when temps drop.

The above benefits make wool socks an excellent option for minimizing your wardrobe and laundry days.

31. Fleece Jacket

Fleece jackets are an essential clothing item when traveling in most of the US. Useful for nights spent fireside and cool fall or winter days outside.

woman outside in fleece jacket

Fleece provides the perfect light-weight jacket that is great for layering as the weather shifts.

I personally love Patagonia’s ‘Better Sweater’ fleeces. My favorite is the full-zip hoodie fleece, but all their options are the same comfortable and durable material, perfect for RV life and outdoor living.

'Better Sweater' Jackets by Patagonia
  • Sweater-knit face with a soft fleece interior
  • Front zip-closure with three exterior pockets
  • Available in various colors and styles for men and women
PRO TIP: The ‘Better Sweater’ jackets have a fitted cut. If the person you are buying for likes a bigger fit, I recommend sizing up.

32. Hair Wrap Towel

These stylish hair wraps are great for wrapping up your locks after a shower or dip in the lake. They are ideal for use on your trip to the campground bath facilities, too.

We’ve found towels that are a bit more absorbent, but we love the comfort of these hair wraps from Dock & Bay. They dry super quickly, too!

33. Packing Cubes

In an RV, space is finite. Organization becomes crucial to keep the RV from looking like a bomb went off.

A great gift for RVers to create easy storage for clothing organization is packing cubes.

packing cube full of clothes

Packing cubes are especially handy for off-season clothes or items that might not get used regularly, such as swimwear.

I suggest having a few different size options for storing large items like pullovers and pants and smaller items such as tank tops and activewear. You can also use packing cubes to organize extra towels and sheets.

Because the cubes zip closed, you can maximize space by rolling items and packing efficiently.

Suggested Packing Cube Products

Here are a few of my favorite packing cube sets. I like the slim packing cubes for small RVs with even more limited storage space.

36. National Parks Pass

The ‘American the Beautiful Pass’ gives the holder access to all of the United States national parks, as well as many other government-managed areas.

What’s really great about this annual pass? It covers up to four adults or everyone in a personal vehicle, where the national park entry is charged per vehicle.

With a price of just $80 per pass, this affordable gift provides a ton of value and is one of the best ways to save on national park fees! Not to mention, there are a lot of camping and parking discounts for Forest Service and Fish and Wildlife areas.

American the Beautiful Pass
  • Honored at sites managed by the Forest Service, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and Army Corps of Engineers
  • Good for the entrance of the vehicle driver, plus all passengers in a personal vehicle at per-vehicle fee areas or up to four adults if area charges a per-person fee
  • Valid for one year from the month of purchase

We recommend purchasing this pass from REI for fast shipping!

Last Minute RV Gifts

Here are some of my favorite last-minute gifts that are great for RV owners and travelers.

37. Audiobook Subscription

When you spend as much time behind the wheel as RVers do, you occasionally need some entertainment.

Audiobooks are something everyone can listen to together and make travel days and road trips more enjoyable. This subscription is a great gift idea for full-time RVers.

Audible Membership
Starting at $15

Premium Plus gift membership includes:

  • The Plus Catalog: the all-you-can-listen catalog including thousands of audiobooks, podcasts, and originals
  • One credit a month, good for any title to keep forever
  • Available for 'gift' purchase for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months

We’re pretty picky about the subscription services we pay for, but Audible is one of the few we consistently find valuable in RV life.

38. Gift Card

When in doubt, you can always get a camper owner an Amazon gift card.

I guarantee almost every RVer has been eyeing a few different items for their motorhome, campervan, or travel trailer. Most of us even have an Amazon wish list for those special RV items we’re watching.

The Perfect Camping RV Gifts

Whether it’s outdoor gear, something for the kitchen, or a clothing item – most RVers appreciate gifts that can make living tiny in an outdoor environment easier or more comfortable. If you can help with that, they’ll be a Happy Camper!

Hopefully, this gift guide helped you find the best options for the RV owners in your life. Or maybe you even found a little something for yourself.
